Research a scientist or scientific topic not covered in class and write a two-page report on it. Make sure to have the topic or scientist approved by Ms. Lehnardt before proceeding. (Repeats of activity allowed, must be a different topic or scientist than any presentation.)
Research a scientist or scientific topic and create a 10 slide Power Point presentation that you will present to the class. Make sure to have the topic or scientist approved by Ms. Lehnardt before proceeding. (Repeats of activity allowed, must be a different topic or scientist than any two-page report.)
Find 3 constellations in the sky at night, take a picture of each, print them out and bring them to class. Please make sure each constellation is visible in the picture before presenting it.
Research a planet of our solar system and write a two-page report on it. Make sure to include information about any NASA (or other space agency) missions that have gathered information from it. (Repeats of activity allowed, must choose a different planet each time.)

Please have your demonstration approved by Ms. Lehnardt before proceeding. (Repeats allowed, must be a demonstration that has not been chosen by another student in the past.)
Create a science journal and observe your yard or a nearby natural space as the seasons change. Record your observations in a notebook over the course of a month, make sure to include pictures and written observations.

Create a model of 10 different elements
Create a model of 5 different molecules
Create a model of Utah’s food web using at least 10 different animals and plants
