We will be working on this credit in the month of October.
- Research a historical event or historical figure not covered in class and write a two-page report on it. Make sure to have the event or figure approved by Ms. Lehnardt before proceeding. (Repeats of activity allowed, must be a different topic or scientist than any presentation.)
- Research a historical event or historical and create a 10 slide Power Point presentation that you will present to the class. Make sure to have the topic or scientist approved by Ms. Lehnardt before proceeding. (Repeats of activity allowed, must be a different topic or scientist than any two-page report.)
- Interview and record a brief life story of an elderly person in your life: i.e. grandparents, great-grandparents, neighbors.
- Create a trading card for your favorite historical figure, similar to the ones we use in class, and a PowerPoint slide to accompany it. Present it in class, and we will add it to our journals
- Visit a social studies based museum such as The Pioneer Memorial Museum, The Natural History Museum of Utah, Springville Museum of Art, Brigham Young University Museum of Art, or The Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts. Write a two-page report detailing your visit and the coolest facts that you learned. (Repeats of activity allowed, must visit a different museum each time.)
- Memorize and perform an additional poem in front of the class. The poem you choose must be pre-approved by Ms. Lehnardt.
